A dichotomy of two types of serologic specificities was observed: a) the class specific (reacting with all IgA coats) detected only in the sera of persons lacking IgA and, b) limited specificity (reacting with one or two of the IgA coats) detected in sera of persons with normal levels of IgA. Immunochemical studies suggest that most of these antibodies are of the IgG class. Preliminary evidence indicated the clinical significance of anti-IgA antibodies because of their association with anaphylactoid and urticarial transfusion reactions.6’7 Further evidence supporting this association is presented here. The frequency of anti-IgA antibodies in other clinical conditions related to blood transfusion is

متن کاملThe Diagnostic Value of Serum IgG-Antigliadin, IgA Anti-endomysial and IgA Anti-tissue Transglutaminase Antibodies for Pediatric Celiac Disease
Background and Objective: Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder, characterized by inflammation, villous atrophy, and crypt hyperplasia of the small bowel mucosa. In this study we considered and compared sensitivity and specificity of serological tests in patients with celiac disease. Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study we prospectively recruited children with suspected c...
متن کاملIsolation and purification of HLA-DR antigen from Daudi cell line by immunoaffinity chromatography
Introduction: The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a group of cell surface proteins that are essential for recognizing foreign molecules in human and other mammals. The physiologic function of MHC molecules is the presentation of peptides to T cells. In this study, we evaluated the purification of a class II MHC molecule (HLA-DR) from a human Burkitt′s lymphoma cell line; Daudi...
متن کاملApplication of a modified human enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kit for diagnosis of hydatidosis in sheep
Cystic hydatid disease (hydatidosis) is one of the most important zoonosis that is caused by the larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus . As its diagnosis by clinical symptoms alone is difficult and confusing, serologic diagnostic techniques are used to confirm the disease. These techniques can also be used for epidemiologic studies. The present study was performed with a commercial human en...
متن کاملشناسایی پروتئینهای لارو فیلاریفرم (L3) استرونژیلوئیدس استرکورالیس به روش وسترن بلات
Background: Strongyloides stercoralis is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions of the world. S. stercoralis is the only nematodes with the ability to multiply in its host's body via autoinfection transmission. Larvae detection in faeces is difficult partly because of low egg production and irregular larvae excretion in faeces. Serologic tests (ELISA, IFA) are also diagnostic, however, S...
